Morocco Tour Driver — Private Car Hire from Marrakech
Morocco Car Tours is a Marrakech-based transport company providing a private car with a driver (English-speaking as standard; French- or Spanish-speaking on request) for tours and transfers across Morocco. It is not self-drive car rental and not a shared coach tour: the vehicle and the driver are yours for the booking. Prices are quoted per vehicle rather than per person: one to seven travellers pay the same fare, and groups of 8 to 17 travel by minibus at a second rate. Day trips from Marrakech are priced per vehicle too. Multi-day routes cover the Sahara, the imperial cities and the coast. Transport, fuel and the driver are included; accommodation and meals are booked by the client, or arranged by us on request and quoted separately, per traveller.

| Travellers | Vehicle | Fare |
|---|---|---|
| 1–4 | 4×4 | Rate 1 |
| 5–7 | Minivan | Rate 1 |
| 8–17 | Minibus | Rate 2 |
Every traveller, including children, has their own seat.
A car with a driver, not a car rental
The most common thing people mean when they search for car rental with a driver in Morocco is this: they do not want to drive. They want someone who knows the Tizi n’Tichka in the dark, where to stop for lunch between Ouarzazate and Dades, and what to do when a road is closed for snow.
That is the service. You are not renting a vehicle and taking responsibility for it. You are booking a car and a driver together, for a day or for two weeks, and the driver stays with you for the whole trip rather than changing between legs.
Priced per vehicle, not per person
This is the difference worth understanding before you compare quotes. Most Morocco tour operators price per person, so a couple pays twice what one traveller pays and a family of four pays four times. We price the vehicle.
Groups of 1 to 4 travel in a 4×4 and groups of 5 to 7 in a minivan, at the same fare; groups of 8 to 17 travel by minibus at a second rate. One traveller and seven travellers pay the same fare, because it is the same car and the same driver for the same day. Every traveller, including children, has their own seat.
Day trips from Marrakech
Full-day trips leave from your Marrakech accommodation and return the same evening. Pickup time is yours to set, and the driver waits while you walk, eat or look around — there is no group to rejoin.
The day trips go to the Ourika Valley, the 3 Valleys, Agafay for sunset, Ouzoud, Essaouira, and Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate, the longest of them. Each is priced per vehicle, not per person, with a free quote within 24 hours.
Multi-day tours
The longer routes run from three days to thirteen, and the same principle applies: one car, one driver, no fixed group. Three days from Marrakech to Merzouga and back. Four days to Chegaga or the Sahara. Ten days from Tangier through the imperial cities to the desert. Thirteen days from Casablanca taking in the desert and the coast.
On multi-day routes the price covers transport, fuel and the driver. Accommodation and meals are booked by you, which keeps the price down and leaves the choice of hotel open — guesthouses in the Dades Valley and desert camps at Erg Chebbi suit very different travellers. If you would rather not deal with it, ask us to arrange the accommodation: we quote it separately, per traveller, with a small booking fee, and your transport price stays the same.
Where we drive
Marrakech is the base, and most trips start and end there. Beyond it the regular routes reach Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, Chegaga, Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou, Fes and the imperial cities, Essaouira and the Atlantic coast, Tangier, Casablanca and Agadir.
Airport transfers and point-to-point transport between cities work the same way as the tours: a fixed price for the vehicle, and a driver who is there when the flight lands.

Frequently asked questions
Is this car rental or a car with a driver?
A car with a driver. You are not renting a vehicle to drive yourself — the car and the driver are booked together (an English-speaking driver as standard; a French- or Spanish-speaking driver on request), and the same driver stays with you for the whole trip.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. You pay for the car and the driver, not per seat. One traveller or seven pay the same fare; groups of 8 to 17 travel by minibus at a second rate. Most operators quote per person, so compare carefully.
Do you book the hotels?
By default no — transport, fuel and the driver are included, and you book accommodation and meals. That keeps the price lower and the choice open. If you would rather we arranged them, we will, and quote them separately, per traveller, with a small booking fee. Your transport price stays the same.
Are the tours private?
Yes. Every tour and transfer is private. You are never grouped with other travellers, and the departure time is yours to set.
Which parts of Morocco do you cover?
Marrakech is the base. Regular routes reach Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, Chegaga, Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou, Fes and the imperial cities, Essaouira, Tangier, Casablanca and Agadir.
How long is the drive to a given destination?
It varies by route and season, and we would rather give you an accurate figure than a rough one — ask when you enquire and the driver will tell you the current drive time for your dates.
What language do the drivers speak?
English-speaking driver as standard; French- or Spanish-speaking driver on request. Drivers are Marrakech-based and stay with you for the whole route rather than changing between days.
How quickly do you reply?
Within 24 hours, by WhatsApp or email. No deposit is required to get a quote.
